I have been privileged to live and travel abroad these past twenty-some years. It has given me the opportunity to appreciate a mosaic of cultures and embrace myriad experiences. Though Canada remains our home base, my husband and I have raised three children globally and lived in nine different countries.
Eager to share my experiences and fulfill my writing aspirations, I began capturing this somewhat nomadic life in notesonaboardingpass and also contribute articles on global living to various publications.
A deep love of history imbues my work, making historical, social and personal connections to the places that I write about. In Norway, my experience as a Tour Guide/Interpretive Historian was deeply fulfilling and honed my ability to research and assemble history into a relatable narrative.
If a blog transports you to a different place, entertains and informs… then I am more than pleased.
I have co-authored two books, Pioneers of Penang (delayed in publishing) and on March 7th 2018, Monday Morning Emails was launched in The Hague.
Monday Mornings’ is an honest, insightful look of living a global life. Part memoir, part diary, part self-help, it recounts my and my co-author’s journey, both past and present. Between the two of us, for the past 25-some years we have raised sons in 12 countries, supported our husbands careers, and have found our passion in writing, mentoring and publishing. However Monday Morning Emails does not only speak to living globally – mothers are mothers, wherever we may be.
I am also involved with Families in Global Transition and participate often as a presenter. Recently, I have found much joy in sharing my journey of finding my passion through speaking engagements and I also share my love of writing in my The Joy of Writing Workshops.
So pleased you’re reading! Terry Anne
